To make an 8x10 print with good quality will require an image file pixel size of 800x1000. A 16x20 print requires at least a 1600x2000 pixel size, and a 24x36 print, a 2400x3600 pixel size. If you are not familiar with pixel size or image file editing, please allow us to view your image to determine the best print size possible. Images need to be in their original format, not cropped or resized. We ask that you allow us to do the image resizing to give you the best print quality possible. If you are using Photoshop, we will need a flattened .psd file for printing. Always view your images at 100% to verify that the image quality is good enough to print.
If you are scanning your own pictures, you should scan at a minimum of 300 dpi for 11"x14" prints and 600 to 800 dpi for 12"x16" to 18"x24" prints. We do not recommend printing scanned images larger than an 18x24 in. size. Scanned prints up to 24"x36" will work fine for birthday banners & etc. but won't have the quality to frame or display.
NOTE: Photo at Large is not responsible for prints that don't meet your approval due to images that are less than the requirements stated above.
